GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The city of Green Bay has made it legal to pick produce straight from public spaces.
The city recently launched the Urban Foraging Project, an opportunity for residents to harvest food in local spaces and public parks following a recent city ordinance.
Ordinance covers parks and trails
The ordinance allows for harvesting native plants in parks and along trails. It also boosts local food forests that grow traditional fruits, vegetables and herbs.
