WALDORF, Md. — A 38-year-old man is facing three misdemeanor theft charges after authorities alleged he stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise during two visits to a Waldorf Weis Market, with a store loss prevention employee later identifying him after seeing his name and photograph in a local news report, according to Charles County court documents.
Troy Herbert Contee Jr., 38, is charged with two counts of theft valued at $100 to less than $1,500 and one count of theft scheme valued at $100 to less than $1,500.
The charges stem from alleged thefts on July 14 and July 27, 2026, at the Weis Market on Fairway Village Place in Waldorf. Store records placed the combined value of the allegedly stolen merchandise at $1,018.07, according to the charging application…
