Southbound lanes of I-69 closed down after crash injures at least 1

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A crash on I-69 has shut down the southbound lanes of I-69.

At around 6:30 p.m., a public safety alert was sent out, informing drivers to avoid the area of the 306.8 mile marker of I-69 in the southbound lanes. Only one northbound lane is open.

Fort Wayne Dispatch confirmed that at least one person has been injured.

A WANE 15 crew member near the scene observed two vehicles involved in the crash, one of which landed in the ditch off the side of the highway, while the other ended up in the center median. The crew member also saw one ambulance among a dozen emergency vehicles leave the scene…
