Expect more severe weather Sunday ahead of a cooldown

(WSPA) — Conditions stay mostly dry through Saturday night, although some patchy valley fog could develop in the mountains. Overnight lows will fall into the lower 70s, with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s in the mountains.

A cold front moves through Sunday, bringing rounds of showers and thunderstorms throughout much of the day. It won’t be a washout, but a few storms could be strong to severe, with gusty winds and hail possible. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, with highs in the lower 90s and upper 80s in the mountains.

A few scattered showers could linger through Labor Day, but most areas should stay dry. Much cooler temperatures arrive Monday, with highs staying mostly in the 80s through early next week…
