TULSA, Okla. – A Sand Springs apprentice police officer was fired and arrested Saturday following a month long Tulsa Police Department investigation into an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred July 30 in Tulsa.
Police identified the suspect as Issac Ogburn, 26, of Sand Springs. Authorities said he was arrested on a warrant involving kidnapping, attempt to perform an act of violence, assault with intent to commit a felony, destroying evidence and impersonating an officer.
What investigators say happened in Tulsa
The victim told investigators she met the suspect near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue and discussed a price for sexual activity. Police said the suspect then drove her to a secluded area, claimed to be a vice officer and told her she was under arrest unless she performed sex acts on him.
