A 44-year-old caretaker in Los Angeles allegedly killed two women in his care within half an hour by suffocating them with a plastic bag over their heads in an assisted healthcare facility.

A jury found Jianchun Li guilty on Friday, August 28, and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder of 75-year-old Monica Moon Lee and 83-year-old Hee Sook Park on June 24, 2023, per the official release of the LA County District Attorney’s Office.
The judge allegedly denied the insanity defense, as the prosecution hailed the jury “for holding Li responsible and finding him sane when he made the decision to kill two vulnerable women who were entrusted to his care.”
