Over the past year, a growing number of Texas local administrations have canceled, declined to maintain, or suspended arrangements for Flock Safety cameras, raising concerns about privacy, data-sharing issues, and instances of alleged police use.
After learning that 459 outside agencies had accessed its Automatic License Plate Reader ( ALPR ) data, the city had only authorized 83 agencies to do so, the city’s City Council unanimously voted to terminate its agreement with Flock last month.
