NELSON COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A Waynesboro man was found dead inside a vehicle that was partially submerged in Lake Nelson, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
Deputies were dispatched to the lake in Arrington at 6:49 a.m. after a report if a vehicle partially submerged in the water. NCSO arrived around 7:05 a.m. to find a passenger vehicle roughly 30 yards from a public boat ramp.
The Virginia State Police Dive Unit and the Wintergreen Fire and Rescue Swift Water Rescue Unit were called to assist. Crews later removed the vehicle from the lake…
