Bridge inspection scheduled for East King Street in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — An inspection is scheduled to take place this week on an East King Street bridge crossing the Conestoga River in Lancaster.

PennDOT said that crews will inspect the bridge, located on East King Street (Route 462) at the Lancaster city-East Lampeter Township line, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Inspectors plan to view the bridge via a snooper crane from the road.

A right lane and shoulder restriction will be in place on Route 462 for the duration of the work. Traffic at the intersection of East King Street, Lampeter Road and Pitney Road, along with nearby Old Philadelphia Pike, is expected to be affected.
