LEXINGTON, Ky. — More than a dozen labor unions gathered in Lexington on Labor Day for an annual event hosted by the Bluegrass Central Labor Council.
The event recognizing union members and their work took place at Battle Axes in Lexington. It included ax throwing, zip lines, video games, go-karts and food.
“We have thousands of members. So it’s just a way of giving back and saying thank you,” said Amy Beasley, president of the Bluegrass Central Labor Council. “So we can all get together one day a year and eat hots and race go-karts.”…
