FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – A few weeks ago, Boone District representative Mike Meredith announced his resignation from his seat. Now, Meredith says he wants to reverse that decision and remain on the board.
Meredith sent a letter to county leaders last Monday saying he wanted to stay in office. The county, however, is moving forward with a special election to fill the Boone District seat.
