DES MOINES—Longtime Iowa State Fairgoer and exhibitor Larry Dau said it is an honor to receive any ribbon when he presents his produce.
This year, he earned 62 ribbons.
For the first time in the 18 years that the 72-year-old Dau has exhibited produce at the Iowa State Fair, the rural Primghar resident left Des Moines with more than 60 ribbons for the 2026 Agricultural and Horticultural — Vegetable Crops in the garden vegetables, hot peppers and painters’ palette divisions…
