Milwaukee police issue 126 citations to end street takeovers

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) — The Milwaukee Police Department has squashed recent street takeovers, lauding its achievements in stopping the events before they cause any harm in a recent social media post.

“The Milwaukee Police Department turn street takeovers into street timeouts,” the post reads.

The Department revealed that during the takeovers this past weekend, they stopped nearly 100 vehicles, issued 126 citations, and towed 6 vehicles.

“Public streets are for traveling safely from one place to another, not filming ‘Fast and Furious: Milwaukee edition.”…
