N.Y. Weather: Dry weather statewide Tuesday, but cold front brings rain midweek

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Dry, pleasant conditions will prevail statewide Tuesday, but a cold front approaching from Canada will bring showers and a chance of thunderstorms to the Western, Central and Capital regions Wednesday into Thursday, with the New York City metro area likely to see impacts arrive Thursday.

No active weather alerts, warnings or watches are in effect anywhere in New York as of Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
