The Dexter Area Historical Society will take a look at Michigan’s role in 20th-century toy manufacturing during a special program Sunday, Sept. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dexter Area Museum.
Historian Tim VanAken will discuss toy manufacturers that once operated in Michigan communities, including Detroit, Ludington, and Walled Lake. He will also share examples from his extensive collection of antique toys.
