Cleveland’s Corky and Lenny’s inspires Baltimore deli owners

BALTIMORE, Maryland –When Aaron and Harley Magden moved from Northeast Ohio to Howard County, Maryland in 2006, they started a window replacement business. As time passed, they noticed that the area lacked authentic Jewish delicatessens, according to “Baltimore” magazine.

So, after selling their window business, they decided to open a Jewish deli named for their father and grandfather – Mikey & Mel’s Famous Deli. Today, they operate three stores in Baltimore and D.C.

Asked about their inspirations, the duo told “Baltimore” magazine that Woodmere’s Corky and Lenny’s was one of their muses…
