Off-Road Rig Rolls Over On Signal Mountain, One Rushed To Hospital

A vehicle modified for off-road riding flipped onto its roof on Highway 127 along the side of Signal Mountain early Labor Day morning, trapping occupants inside before one victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Callers reported the vehicle upside down in the roadway with people hurt inside, and Sequatchie County Sheriff’s deputies were the first to reach the scene.

The Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to the crash at 7:03 a.m. CST, according to a Facebook post from the Dunlap Fire Department. By the time crews arrived, the vehicle’s occupants were already out of the vehicle. Puckett EMS, which serves as Sequatchie County’s contracted 911 emergency medical provider according to Priority Ambulance, also reached the scene after the sheriff’s deputies and transported the seriously injured victim.
