US Smokeless Tobacco Breaks Ground On $250M Expansion

For more than a century, Altria’s US Smokeless Tobacco has played its part in the economic greenhouse of Christian County, south western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee.

Those roots only deepened further Tuesday afternoon, when employees, officials, legislators and Governor Andy Beshear gathered in the recesses of Weyman Way — and broke ground on a $250 million expansion known as “Baker 2,” which will add at least 200 jobs to the regional footprint.
