Roy Jackson of Clarksville was arrested by Hopkinsville Police on Friday after he reportedly caused a motor vehicle accident on Fort Campbell Boulevard and attempted to flee from the scene.
According to a report, the accident occurred when Jackson, who was traveling north on the boulevard, attempted to make a U-turn to travel south at the Skyline Drive intersection. Jackson allegedly made the turn while his traffic light was red and ran into a truck operated by Ian Rhodes of Hopkinsville, who was traveling south down the boulevard.
Jackson reportedly left the scene and was stopped by officers six miles from the scene near Novadell Way. Officers reported smelling alcohol odor on Jackson. They allegedly saw a partially spilled alcoholic beverage in the passenger compartment and the driver’s seat appeared to be wet with alcohol…
