BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Clara’s on the River, the historic train depot-turned-restaurant in Battle Creek that closed over the weekend, is for sale.
Located in the former Michigan Central Railroad Depot at 44 McCamly St. near W. Van Buren Street, the restaurant was a community staple for decades. Sunday marked its last day of business.

According to broker Wayne Deering, the restaurant was discreetly listed for sale at the beginning of the year. The $2.25 million asking price includes both the business and the historic building, Deering told News 8.
