KALAMAZOO, MI — The Downtown Kalamazoo Collective will host its fourth annual Dogs in the Zoo event on Saturday, Sept. 12, bringing together local businesses, vendors, rescue groups and dogs for a free event on the Kalamazoo Mall.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a full schedule of activities including a dachshund race (10 a.m.), a dog and owner look-alike contest (11 a.m.), a hot dog eating contest for humans (noon) and a dog-friendly dance party with DJ Monte (1 p.m.).
