WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office announced it located the body of a teen who drowned in Falls Lake on Monday.
According to the sheriff’s department, it received a call just before 2:30 p.m. about a swimmer possibly drowning in Falls Lake near the 14600 block of Creedmoor Road.

Wake County EMS, the Northern Wake Fire Department, and the Wake Forest Fire Department all responded to the scene in addition to the sheriff’s office.
