ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)—Each week, WFXR News highlights adoptable pets filling up animal shelters across Southwest and Central Virginia.
On Tuesday, September 8, Landon Cox with the Roanoke Valley SPCA brought Rover to the WFXR News studio.
Rover is a stout, 3-year-old Labrador mix who is full of love and curiosity. He enjoys exploring and sniffing around. He’s always up for adventure and does well riding in the car. Rover’s favorite things include treats, cuddles, squeaky toys, and belly rubs!

Overall, Rover would make a great family dog as he is very friendly and settles in well. He would thrive in a household where he can go on walks and excursions.
It’s unknown if Rover gets along well with other dogs. Potential adopters can set up a meet-and-greet with the other dogs in their household before the adoption.
