Tanker truck crashes into San Joaquin County waterway, cleanup underway

(FOX40.COM) — Cleanup efforts are underway after a tanker truck crashed into a San Joaquin County waterway over the weekend.

Crews responded Sunday after a “multi-vehicle accident,” the California Office of Spill Prevention and Response said in a social media post Tuesday.

The crash caused a tanker truck to fall into the Trapper Slough, a waterway that runs parallel to State Route 4 west of Stockton. Officials said the tanker was carrying asphalt, some of which “entered the waterway.”…
