A New Jersey Transit bus struck two women in a Hackensack crosswalk, pinning one beneath a wheel and leaving her with significant leg injuries, authorities said.
The pedestrians were struck near 170 State St. just before 6:30 p.m., Hackensack Deputy Police Chief Gregory Zisa said.
A 30-year-old Ridgefield woman suffered significant injuries to her leg after she was pinned beneath the bus wheel, Zisa said. A 29-year-old Palisades Park woman suffered injuries believed to be minor. Both women were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, Zisa said…
