Fort Wayne City Council vote moves forward plan for proposed SE side neighborhood

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – With votes from the Fort Wayne City Council on Tuesday, plans for a new southeast side neighborhood are moving forward.

Councilmembers approved $1 million from the city’s Legacy Fund, an endowment managed by the city to fund projects, programs, or policies with long-term positive community impacts, to support infrastructure improvements for the proposed neighborhood.

With the vote, the city’s Community Development agency says Victory Gardens, a 74-home residential development located at 2700 Elmdale Drive, is closer to breaking ground…
