The city of Battle Creek is inviting businesses, schools, houses of worship, property managers and other organizations to share information with emergency responders through its Protected Places Program.
Participation is voluntary, and organizations can choose how much information they provide, according to a community announcement. The program is designed to give first responders access to information that could help them react more effectively during emergencies and focus on protecting people and property.
