ROANOKE, Va. – Fire officials provided an update regarding a fire that had left a two-story building in rubble and two people dead.
Neighbors were abruptly woken up to the sounds of firefighters and sirens that rushed to Greenbrier Avenue Southeast to combat the fire.
“So it was like nothing unusual, but it was closer,” Maddie Page said. “Then I woke up and saw a fireman walking up in my yard to come up here because it’s right above my house, {so} I came up here and saw a house engulfed. So it was really scary.”…
