Girl injured in St. Paul house fire recovering in hospital, requires skin grafts due to burns

A fundraiser for a young girl whose mother died while protecting her from a house fire in St. Paul has provided an update on her recovery.

According to a GoFundMe set up to help the family with medical expenses, the girl has had her trach removed and is occasionally awake, but remains mildly sedated so she can heal.

The fundraiser says the girl now requires skin grafts on her left shoulder and left calf as the burns are not healing properly in those areas…
