Bus riders in New Jersey are getting free Wi-Fi. It’s one of the technology upgrades New Jersey Transit revealed on Thursday. The agency says that by the end of 2026, 83% of buses will offer the service. Currently, 1,500 buses are providing the free service.
Buses offering free Wi-Fi are being outfitted with two modems to ensure the signal doesn’t drop while riders are travelling.
