VIDEO: Driver hospitalized, charged with DUI after Botetourt County police chase

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A Roanoke man was transported to a hospital after deputies said he crashed while driving recklessly, the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Deputies have released video and information about Chase D. Dorman, 29, who was charged with:

  • Driving under the influence
  • Felony eluding
  • Driving while suspended

On the morning of Aug. 8, deputies said they saw Dorman traveling recklessly at more than 100 miles per hour westbound on Route 460; deputies also said Dorman eluded deputies and sped off.

Dorman lost control of the auto and crashed into an embankment on Cloverdale Road, according to the sheriff’s office…
