(KRON) — A 21-year-old woman remains at large after the Pacifica Police Department said she struck an officer on foot with her car as she fled a Safeway theft.
Pacifica PD released information about the July 9 incident on Tuesday. Police said officers were dispatched at 4:44 p.m. to a theft in progress at the Pacifica Safeway on Hickey Boulevard. The suspect vehicle’s license plate was noted by witnesses as it fled the parking lot and given to officers.
“Within minutes, an automated license plate reader (ALPR) captured the same plate near West Manor Drive and Palmetto Ave,” police wrote. “The first officer to arrive, a detective, found the two suspects running from a second Safeway after reportedly committing another theft.”…
