ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — There are a lot of big anniversaries in New Mexico in 2026: 10 years of Meow Wolf, 20 years of the Rail Runner train, 100 years of Route 66 – and 100 years of an historic building now known as Hotel Parq Central in Albuquerque.
Originally built as the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway Hospital, the building opened in 1926 as the largest hospital in the state when it opened. It was just a few months before Route 66 was officially established in Albuquerque.
