CSG executive board members resign, Assembly cuts executive budget

The University of Michigan’s Central Student Government met Tuesday evening in the Wolverine Room of the Michigan Union to discuss the fall 2026 budget and status of the executive board following recent resignations from Business junior Stephen Asante, who was CSG treasurer, and Public Policy junior Victoria McCabe, who was CSG chief of staff.

The meeting began with nominations for CSG Resolutions Committee chair following the resignation of LSA sophomore Sadie Malik, who previously served in the position. Rackham Devin Woodruff, Rackham student and CSG speaker, nominated Engineering junior William Bushey, Resolutions Committee vice chair, to fill the position. Bushey accepted the nomination.

The Resolutions Committee vice chair was still vacant, and Engineering junior Bailey McClive, CSG representative, nominated LSA senior Christian Wilson, Students of Michigan delegate, to fill the position.
