ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – A day on the golf course is helping fund support programs for Albemarle County police officers. The Albemarle County Police Foundation held its fourth annual Guardians Cup golf tournament Wednesday at the Club at Glenmore.
The event drew 112 golfers, including officers who played alongside members of the community.
Teams paid $1,000 each to enter, and organizers say the tournament brought in about $58,000. The money supports the foundation’s officer wellness program…
