BEXLEY, Ohio (WCMH) — Bexley’s longtime mayor announced his resignation Wednesday, but not because he plans to leave the city.
In an announcement posted to social media, Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler announced he will be stepping down as the city’s mayor after nearly 19 years of serving the city, 14 of those as mayor, to accept a position with the Columbus Partnership.
“Serving as your Mayor over the past 14 years has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” Kessler posted. “My first day as an elected official with the City of Bexley was on a cold January day in 2008, and after nearly nineteen years of service, this season of adventure rooted in community is coming to a close.”…
