Four suspects wanted for Rockaway Beach gang assault that left a victim hospitalized with serious slash wounds: NYPD

Police from the 100th Precinct in Rockaway Beach are looking for four unidentified suspects who are wanted in connection with a gang assault that left a man battered with serious slash wounds after the attack during the evening of Sunday, Aug. 30.

The 23-year-old victim was walking in front of 86-05 Rockaway Beach Blvd. at around 7:30 p.m. when he was confronted by the group, and a verbal dispute ensued. It escalated into a physical altercation when the four assailants began punching and kicking. One of the perpetrators brandished a knife and slashed the victim across the back of his neck and a shoulder blade, police said. Three of the attackers fled on foot toward the Hammel Houses, while the fourth assailant jumped on a motorized scooter traveling eastbound on Rockaway Beach Boulevard and into the Hammel Houses NYCHA complex.

The victim sustained severe lacerations and was transported by EMS to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition…
