A cluster of storms Wednesday night dropped 2 inches of rain in parts of the Pittsburgh area, further cementing a wet start to September after residents waded through the region’s rainiest August in more than a century.
No injuries were reported in connection with the storm. The National Weather Service issued the first of its eight severe thunderstorm warnings around 6 p.m.
