A new Saline Area Schools policy spells out how students, staff and families can report bullying, how complaints must be investigated and who steps in when an allegation involves a district leader.
The Board of Education voted 6-0 during its Sept. 8 meeting to adopt Policy 5207 following its second reading. Vice President Jennifer Steben was absent.
The policy took effect immediately, replacing the district’s previous rules concerning student bullying. The board held a public hearing on the proposal Aug. 25 and temporarily retained its existing rules while Policy 5207 completed the adoption process…
