Docs: Mom tosses boiling water at cheating husband, hits young son

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — A Plainfield mom was charged after she allegedly tossed boiling water at her cheating husband, but missed and struck her young son with the scorching hot water.

Catherine Philippe and Junior Borelus were charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 Felony. Philippe was also charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 Felony.

On Wednesday, June 10, an officer from the Plainfield Police Department received a report from the Indiana Department of Child Service that a four-year-old was being treated for days-old burn injuries at a hospital in Indianapolis.
