18-year-olds arrested following juvenile trafficking investigation in Stanislaus County

(FOX40.COM) — Two Stanislaus County 18-year-olds were arrested Tuesday following an investigation into the trafficking of a 16-year-old and others, the local Sheriff’s Office announced.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, the two suspects, Braden Groves of Turlock and Emilio Barrera of Patterson, traveled to a number of places, including Sacramento, the Bay Area and parts of Southern California to traffic victims for commercial sex.

Detectives arrested Groves at an Oakland motel room where they also found the 16-year-old victim, the sheriff’s office said. Barrera was arrested in Turlock the same day…
