Priscilla Gardner recalled paying a visit to then-Jersey City Mayor Glenn Cunningham’s office when an employee tried to get him to an occasion on time.
“He was speaking with an elderly woman, and his chief of staff told him that he was late for an appointment. He said she was a voter, and she deserved to be heard, and he finished his conversation with her,” Gardner said.
