OVIEDO, Fla. – Some homeowners near Sweetwater Creek woke up Thursday to water pooling across their backyards, a problem residents say has been building for years and was made worse by recent construction along the creek.
Behind Kevin Nowak’s home, standing water covered parts of the yard after the rain moved through. Nowak said the water regularly collects behind his home, which sits near Sweetwater Creek.
