Two Downtown Celina Properties Are Getting A $7.5 Million Makeover

TwoDowntown Celina properties are set for a combined $7.5 million private investment that will bring new restaurant, retail and office space to the city’s historic core.

The city of Celina approved an economic development agreement with Celina Real Estate, LLC for projects at 102 N. Ohio St. and the historic Mayer Building at 313 W. Pecan St. The developments are intended to put currently underused properties back into active commercial use as Celina continues to grow.

“Downtown is the heart and soul of Celina, and maintaining its vitality as our community grows remains one of our highest priorities,” said Mayor Ryan Tubbs in an official statement. “This partnership represents an important investment in the future of downtown while building on the character and sense of place that make Celina special. By returning these properties to productive use, we are creating new opportunities for businesses, residents and visitors while strengthening downtown for generations to come.”
