Expert reports, testimony discussed at hearing as murder suspect readies for trial

Following discussions regarding evidence and expert testimony for the murder case against Eiesha Whitlock in Christian Circuit Court Thursday afternoon, both parties are ready for trial to begin on September 21.

Whitlock is charged in the death of 29-year-old Daquan Butler of Hopkinsville, and she’s accused of hitting him with a vehicle she was driving at the Willows Apartment Complex in Pembroke. A report states she allegedly engaged in wanton behavior that caused her to strike Butler.

An expert witness from the defense has drawn conclusions from their investigations that Commonwealth’s Attorney Maureen Leamy contends is brand new information, and she would like a detailed explanation on how the expert came to those conclusions…
