xAI millions stalled: Chaotic meeting ends early as Westwood, Boxtown residents demand answers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — More than $3.2 million tied to xAI tax revenue remains on hold, and tensions boiled over Thursday night as residents packed a Westwood community meeting demanding to know why the money still hasn’t reached neighborhoods closest to the company’s massive Colossus supercomputer.

The meeting at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church was meant to discuss how the funding should be spent. Instead, it turned into a heated debate that ended early.
