WASHINGTON, D.C. — Animal rights advocates and a local member of Congress are once again looking to put a spotlight on a dog breeding facility in upstate New York.
The closure of a controversial dog breeding facility in Wisconsin earlier this year provided momentum for animal rights activists, who are turning their attention to a similar facility in Wayne County, New York.
“With that momentum, we decided where to go next is Marshall BioResources, which is a facility in upstate New York that has at least 16,000 dogs in cages waiting to be sold, exploited and destroyed in laboratories,” said Gretchen Primack, co-lead for the March to Abolish Animal Testing…
