MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Alabama Department of Transportation is ready to start widening Interstate 85 in Montgomery from Taylor Road to Jenkins Creek.
ALDOT says the interstate will be widened from two lanes to three lanes in each direction, extending from the end of the existing three-lane section at Taylor Road to the creek.
Construction is scheduled to start Monday, October. 5. Before it begins, utility relocations will require rolling roadblocks on I-85. Those rolling roadblocks will take place on an early Sunday morning. ALDOT says it will announce the date once it is confirmed…
