Davenport Curtiss Mansion Labor Day BBQ Fundraiser Brings in 500 People

The Davenport Curtiss Mansion Working Group (DCMWG) hosted its first fundraiser on Labor Day, featuring a barbecue buffet, Lions Club ice cream food truck, the Saline Twirlettes, the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic, a local barbershop quartet, cornhole tournament, apple pie eating contest, silent auction, and children’s activities all on the mansion’s grounds.

“The Labor Day Barbecue was a success, and a great example of how the property can bring our community together,” DCMWG Chair Rebecca Schneider said. “It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the grounds and creating new memories for our community.”
