Milan Area Schools is formalizing its severe weather procedures following storms that raised concerns about student safety during dismissal Sept. 3.
A parent addressed the Board of Education twice during its Sept. 9 meeting, saying some students feared for their safety and asking the district to explain its plans for severe weather during pickup and drop-off. She also credited the district’s bus drivers for how they handled the situation.
